You would only need hormone replacement medication if both your ovaries were removed. As long as you have one functioning ovary you won't experience menopause. I also had PID which was caused by a faulty IUD, had one ovary, one fallopian tube, uterus and cervix removed. I didn't experience menopause until the age I would have experienced it anyway.
