Did I get stood up? ?

So I met him in cl and I liked him immediately. After talking to him for the first time after cl we had lunch together (it was an afternoon cl). We were both from the same country and went to the same international school which was really awesome. This continued throughout the whole summer school semester. So last tuesday he asked me if I wanted to go to his friend's farewell party (he also told me earlier that month) and I said yes. He told me he'd tell me more about it. We met again on thursday (last cl day) and he brought up the party again and said his friend didnt confirm so he'd again call/text me more about it (the party was on friday, basically the next day so he either had to call that night or the next morning-ish) Also on Friday I had work but he said it was a night thing and he said he was planning it with another friend and we were supposed to go to dinner and a hotel room to drink in times square. So Friday comes and my work ends (5pm) and he still hasnt texted or called. So I text him: "Are we still up for tonight?" and he NEVER texts back! I got all dressed up and he blows me off?? Did I get stood up? Even though it's just a friend type of party occasion? Why didnt/hasnt he texted or called? One of my friend's met him and she said it really seems out of his character to do such a thing. So we thought something happened to him but I did some stalking on facebook and he's perfectly alive! So what the heck happened? It is not Monday and cles ended so I wont see him ever again unless we make plans and he graduated from school already...so seriously what's up? Thank goodness I didnt wait around in the city for him to text back and instead I met up with my other friend and went back home. So please explain to me guys, what happened? Also, should I bring it up with I see him around school again (he studies in the library for his LSATs) THanks!
